Running head: INDUSTRY AND RISK ANALYSIS Assessment 2 Industry and Risk Analysis Entrepreneurship and Innovation (BUS 521) Name Strayer University Dr. William Walker Date Abstract This particular assessment will address the industry and the risk analysis. Topics that will be covered are the future outlook and industry trends related to the new venture. The research paper also identifies certain legal regulations and concerns related to the venture idea. There are certain resources available to help an entrepreneur protect those ideas which are addressed within the body of the paper. The main concern with the venture idea is the chance of someone else attempting to steal the idea and use it to profit. According to the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) (n.d.), intellectual property â€Å"refers to creations of the mind: inventions, literary and artistic works, and symbols, names, images, and designs used in commerce† (para. 1). Intellectual property is protected by patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets (Hisrich et al., 2010). All of these categories can help an original creator maintain the rights to that piece of work. If the creator does not go through the proper steps to maintain the ownership of a particular work, the idea is up for grabs and someone can else use the idea all over again. Healthy Hearts Gym will have to be careful with exactly who secretive information is shared with. The ideas that will make the gym different from others will definitely be protected by one or more of the previously discussed categories.
